Thorn In My Flesh

Thorn in my flesh

You’re a thorn in my flesh

A thorn in my foot yet I carry on

Suddenly I am unable to translate the pain I feel on a piece of paper

It’s unimaginable

Numb its becoming common like a casualty

So used to it I expect nothing more and nothing less

Part of is my fault,  the heck it is my fault

I fell again Jhene   Aiko The Worst

Now I understand why  you call me a Queen

I carry, wear the crown of thorns

Then you mock me like the King Of The Jews

I comfort my bruises telling myself its only time

But when you’re living in the moment pain is like acid

It continues to cut deep and leave scars

That makes it hard to breathe over

I’m not even angry I just feel sorry for myself

Feels like you’re in a bad dream watching yourself get tortured

It’s all up to you but you can’t scream you’re muted

Ever gotten so used to pain you become immune to it

Nothing can stop my tears because even they dried up

Pain amplified to a point where u can’t feel it

You’re even surprised to find yourself bleeding

All that’s left is a cold stare

All this pain coming from different directions

And you wonder why I’m cold sometimes

Just wished I never gave in wouldn’t be writing this

Trying to forgive you is like swallowing needles

And you wonder why I’m cold sometimes

Just wished I never gave in wouldn’t be writing this

Trying to forgive you is like swallowing needles
