The Sound of Silence

Have you been planning, on alleviating noise pollution, in your neighborhood? Imagine if you no longer heard the screeching of motor vehicles, the ding dong of door bells, dripping of taps, honks and horns of cars or the sound from generator set in your neighborhood.

These noise making mechanisms are all in contrast with the sound in silence. Science has proven that paying attention to natural sounds, could also help us do a better job of keeping our planet healthy.

Many a time you ought to crave for the sound in silence because its audibility inspires peace and direction.

Religiously speaking, Mother Theresa said “we need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls”.

It’s evident that the sound of silence is paramount, if you want to affect lives as well as being in touch with your creator. Biblically, it’s being proven, that Prophets who communicated with God continuously always achieved this by listening to the sound in silence.

It’s pertinent, that you escape the noise from the daily hurdles of life sometimes, and listen to the sounds in silence as directions, hope and peace and many more are to be offered.

In conclusion, Neale Donald said “in every moment of every day, through a thousand individual manifestations of Itself, is Divinity revealing Itself. Yet we do not see. Or we see, but do not believe. We do not believe the evidence of our own eyes. We do not hear the truth in the sounds of silence”.
